Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information CheapSelfHelp collects, why, and how it is handled. We keep data collection to what the store actually needs, and we do not sell your data. Last updated: 24 August 2026.

Who is responsible for your data

CheapSelfHelp (csh) is responsible for the information described here. For any question or request about your data — including a copy of it, a correction, or deletion — write to orders@cheapselfhelp.com. A person reads that address; there is no ticket system in between.

The short version: we collect the little we need to give you access to what you bought and to confirm that you bought it. There is no tracking, no advertising, no profiling, and no third-party analytics of any kind — not Google Analytics, not a pixel, not a tag manager. Nothing about your visit is sent to anyone else to be measured.

Information we collect

We do not keep the last two indefinitely. The IP address and user-agent are erased from these records after 30 days, leaving only the anonymous shape of the traffic, and the records themselves are deleted after a year. Sign-in attempt records are deleted after 30 days.

What PayPal tells us — and what we tell PayPal

The entire payment happens on PayPal's side. You are sent to PayPal to pay, you enter everything there, and you come back. Your card number, bank details, billing address and PayPal password never pass through this store, because they are never sent to it.

What comes back to us is essentially proof of purchase: a reference for the order, a transaction identifier, the amount, and confirmation that the payment completed. We store those so we can grant your access, show your order history, and match a refund to the right purchase.

In the other direction we deliberately send PayPal as little as possible: the amount, our store name, and an opaque order number. No product names and no line items ever leave this store. Your payment statement shows that you paid CheapSelfHelp — never what you bought.

Cookies

We use only essential cookies — those that keep you signed in and protect forms against cross-site request forgery. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies, and there is no advertising on this store.

What we do with it, and why we are allowed to

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling or automated decision-making, and we never sell it.

Your purchases are private

Your payment statement shows only that you paid CheapSelfHelp, never what you bought — see the section above. Inside the store, your library is visible only to you and to the store operator. We do not publish reviews, ratings, "recently bought" notices, or anything else that could reveal a customer's purchase to another visitor.

Who we share it with

Only the service providers needed to run the store, each receiving only what it needs:

That is the complete list, and it is short on purpose: each of these is a supplier we cannot run the store without, not a partner we share data with. There is no advertising network, no analytics provider, no marketing platform, no data broker and no AI service in it — because the store does not use any. We may disclose data where the law requires it. We do not sell or rent your data to anyone, and never will.

Where your data is stored

The website runs on servers located in Canada. Course files, images and encrypted backups are stored in the United States. If you are located elsewhere, your data is therefore transferred internationally. Backups are encrypted before they leave our servers.

How long we keep it

These are enforced by the store itself, on a schedule, rather than by anyone remembering to do it.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your personal data, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, or restrict or object to how we use it. You can close your account at any time. Write to orders@cheapselfhelp.com and we will respond within a reasonable period.

Note that deleting your account also removes your access to courses you have purchased, and we cannot restore it afterwards. Some order records must be retained for accounting purposes even after an account is closed.

Security

Traffic to the store is encrypted in transit. Passwords are stored only as salted one-way hashes. Course downloads are served through private links that expire shortly after being issued, so a shared link does not stay usable. Backups are encrypted. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously and design for it.

Age

This store is intended for adults (18+). Do not use it if you are under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced on the site.
